Avtex W164DR 16" Digital/Analogue TV/DVD/CD/PVR Avtex W164DR 16" Digital/Analogue TV/DVD/CD/PVR The Avtex W164DR 12/24 volt TV/DVD combination is the replacement for the Market Leading Avtex W163DR. It essentially has the same features as the W163DR but is housed in a new slimmer cabinet (52mm deep - 16mm less). For those who are borderline on payload it is also lighter (2.8Kg). The Avtex W164DR TV/DVD is highly specified and uses a very high quality LCD panel with good viewing angles making ideal for use in a Caravan or Motorhome. There are two built-in tuning systems, a Digital one for reception of Freeview in the UK and it's equivalent in Europe plus a traditional Multi-standard Analogue one for reception of the older type broadcasts again throughout Europe. Both tuners can be quickly tuned in when you change location using the Unique AQT (Avtex Quick Tune) one button tuning system. The Avtex W164DR isn't just a TV though, it's a complete mobile entertainment solution. The built-in DVD player can be used for watching films, playing Audio CD's and viewing Digital Media. There is also a USB socket that allows you to view files and Record from the Digital Freeview Tuner to an external USB Flash Memory Stick or USB Hard Drive (NOT INCLUDED). This facility can be used like a conventional Video Recorder for timer recordings and it can be used to pause live TV. If you wish to use this facility you should ensure your device has a minimum of 500MB free space. The maximum supported HD size is 250GB. Please note that this and the other TV's in the range can NOT record from the Analogue Tuner or external devices like Satellite Receivers. The W164DR is HD Ready with two HDMI sockets for connecting external HD devices such as FreeSat/Sky HD or a HD Camcorder. Other sockets include headphone, VGA, Audio In, Scart and RF Aerial.
